What is the Academy of Organization Sciences?
The Academy is an interdisciplinary professional organization dedicated to helping scholar-practitioners in the organization sciences, as well as corporate leaders, in continuously developing their knowledge, skills, and careers, and exhibiting their professional value to hiring organizations and clients.
What Does The Academy Offer?
Certification Courses for Leaders and Managers
We offer individual courses and course modules in-person and virtually to leaders and managers in corporate, non-profit, military, government agency, academic, and other organizations. Completion of collections of courses lead to certifications.
Short-Course Academic Certificates
We offer short courses and short course modules for organization science professionals and new practitioners who wish to increase their knowledge base and prepare for certification and credentialing.
Professional Credentials
We offer professional credentials that provide consultants the ability to exhibit their level of knowledge and experience and differentiate themselves from less qualified individuals. Our credentials are used as a standard by which organizations make hiring and consult contracting decisions so that they can be certain they're hiring a specific level of expertise for their teams and projects.
The Kurt Lewin & Mary Parker Follett Organization and Administration Sciences Fellowship
The Kurt Lewin and Mary Parker Follett Fellowship is designed to provide a platform for research, publication, and presentation of scholar-practitioners who exhibit the work and values of the two organization and administration science pioneers for whom the fellowship was named. Fellows retain the title for life when all requirements are met. Nominations are accepted bi-annually.
Continuing Education
We offer continuing education that can be used as CEU credits for our credentials as well as other credentials in the organization sciences.
Career Coaching
We offer individual career coaching to organization leaders and managers and to organization science practitioners and scholars seeking to bolster their professional abilities, knowledge, and personal brands.
Consulting
For a limited client base, we offer professional consulting that provides in-person co-facilitation (on-the-job training [OJT]) in organization development, organization design, leadership, management, leadership development, and talent management to organizational leaders and managers undertaking our programs.
Professional Collaboration
We serve as an open-space think-tank with open-source meetings for professionals in the organization sciences to have interdisciplinary discourse, debate, and collaboration on organization science topics and approaches.
Professional Journal
The Academy publishes Organizations, the peer-reviewed professional journal of the interdisciplinary organization sciences. This scholar-practitioner journal publishes research, intervention/action research, theoretical articles, and thought leader editorials related to organization development, organization behavior, organization design, organization effectiveness, organization change, organization leadership, leadership development, talent development, management, change management, coaching, and human resource development.
Professional Book Publications
